Itinerary
Pick up from Cochin International Airport/Railway Station. Proceed to Munnar - a pleasing 04:00 hrs journey riding through the picturesque hills jacketed in greenish tea and spice plantations. The cab will stop in many of the places on the way to enjoy the beautiful nature, waterfalls and sceneries.
MUNNAR is situated at the confluence of three mountain streams Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. 1600 mts above sea level, the hill station was the favored summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. Sprawling tea plantations, pristine valleys, mountains and aroma of spice scented cool air make Munnar is a resort town. Among the exotic flora found in the forests and grasslands here is the Neelakurinji, this flower blooms once in every twelve years.

After breakfast, drive to Thekkady, a scenic 03:00 hrs. drive from Munnar. The very sound of the word Thekkady conjures up images of elephants, unending chains of hills and spices scented plantations. In the Periyar Forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wild life reserves in India, and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks and mountain walks.

After breakfast proceeding to KODAIKANAL, it is one of the most popular Hill Station in India. The charming hill station stands amidst sylvan beauty on the southern crest of the upper Palani Hills near Madurai in Tamil Nadu. With its rocks, woods, lovely lake and bracing air, Kodaikanal is an ideal hill resort for the tourists. The hill station situated at an altitude of about 2133 – m high.

After breakfast proceed to MADURAI. The temple town of Madurai is one of the most ancient heritages sites of India. Arrival in the afternoon and fresh up at hotel and proceed to sightseeing, visit Madurai Meenakshi Temple: It is one of the enormous temple complexes is dedicated to Shiva, known here as Sundareshwara and his consort Goddess Parvati or Meenakshi. The both shrines are covered with heavy gold plates. You can see 1000 pillars hall built in 16th Century by Nayakas by pure granite stones. Thirumalai Nayak Palace: This Palace was built in 1636 by King Thirumalai Nayak with the help of an Italian Architect. The building we see today was the main Palace where the King lived. The original Palace Complex was four times bigger than the present structure. This palace consisted mainly of two parts, namely Swargavilasa and Rangavilasa. Gandhi Museum : This is the great historic museum and tourist attractions in Madurai. It is one of the rare living memorial and work of The Father of India `Mahatma Gandhi’. The museum contains paintings, sculptures, Gandhian quotations, articles of village industries and Khadi crafts that were used him.

After early breakfast drive to Rameshwaram, one of the most sacred town of India, it is well known for its temple corridor, an island situated in the gulf of manner at the very tip of the Indian peninsula. Rameshwaram is the place from where Lord Rama, built a bridge across the sea to rescue his consort Sita, from her abductor Ravana.

After breakfast proceed to Kovalam on the way visit SUCHEENDRAM TEMPLE an ancient perfect model of South Indian Temple architecture dedicated to the blended form of Brahma, Vishu and Shiva. Afterwards visit PADMANABHAPURAM PALACE, this ancient royal palace of the Travancore Dynasty is situated at Thuckalai. It is a well preserved wooden palace, a glorious testimony to the traditional Kerala School of Architecture (Closed on Monday).
KOVALAM, this internationally renowned beach has been favorite haunt of tourists since 1930's. Kovalam consists of three adjacent crescent beaches. The southernmost, known as the -Light House beach- is the most popular.
