Itinerary Wayand trip for 2 Nights from Bangalore Airport/ R. Station
Day 1 - Trip to Wayanad
Our representative will meet you in Bangalore and we will start from Bangalore early morning for a 250 kilometer / 5 hour drive to Wayanad and check into the hotel. Wayanad is a derivative term of the Vayal Nadu, where Vayal means Paddy fields and Nadu the land, comprising it to point out a land of paddy fields. Views in wayanad will delight you with the mesmerizing sight of hills, caves hiding some secrets of the past, lakes reflecting the surrounding lustrous forests, small streams and miniature water falls caressing the hills and dales. You can also visit Lakkidi - the Gateway of Waynad (700 Mts MSL), at the shell of Thamarassery Ghat pass, or Pookot lake-3 km south of Vythiri. The enduring fresh water lake nestled among wooded hills. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 2 - Wayanad Sightseeing
After breakfast, spend the day in local sightseeing in Wayanadand start with the Chembra peak -At 2100 mts above mean sea level which is 'trekker's paradise', having incredible scenic beauty. From Chembra hill, we get the view of Neelimala view point and Vaduvanchal which is an excellent venue for trekking with lots of inspiring trails.Meenmutty falls a remarkable 2 km jungle trek off the main Ooty road, you will reach Meenmutty, the largest and most amazing waterfall in Wayanad district. If time permits the visit will cover Sulthan bathery, Wayanad wild life sanctuary, Muthanga. Return to wayanad for overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 - Departure
Checkout from the hotel after breakfast in the morning and proceed back.En route visit Pazhassiraja Museum & Art Gallery, (5 Km from the town) that displays historic bronzes, coins, megalithic relics, murals and paintings by artists of Kerala. We will drop you back at Bangalore for the departure.
