Itinerary
When you arrive at Calicut / Kozhikode International Airport or Railway Station, our representative(s) will take you to Wayanad (approximately a 4-hour trip). You will be captivated by the sight of hills, caverns concealing ancient secrets, lakes reflecting the surrounding lustrous trees, little streams, and miniature waterfalls caressing the hills and dales. There is so much beauty and charm all around; you feel a thunderbolt within. Leisure and ecstasy will wash away the fatigue of a long travel; certainly, you are safe, joyful, and comfortable under our care. We take you to Wayanad caverns to hear the stories of some ancient natives. We accompany you as you wander casually through the trees humming to the melody of their own birds. As your feet lightly brush against the cool dewdrops on the morning grass and a thousand suns above observe, we are by your side. You are greeted warmly upon arrival at Vyttri / Kalpetta and shown to your comfortable hotel room. You can spend the evening exploring Pookot Lake, which is a perennial freshwater lake surrounded by forested hills and located three kilometers south of Vythiri. You're spending the night in the comfort of your hotel room, looking forward to the next few days and the lovely scenery that awaits you outside.
Proceed for a full day of local touring after breakfast. Approximately 2100 meters above mean sea level, the Chembra peak will fill you with happiness. It truly is a "Trekker's Paradise" with breathtaking scenery. Views of Neelimala View Point and Vaduvanchal, a fantastic place for trekking with lots of beautiful routes, are available from Chembra Hill. Another amazing 2-kilometer jungle hike away from the main Ooty road is Meenmutty Falls. In addition, Meenmutty boasts Wayanad's biggest and most breathtaking waterfall. The entrance to Wayanad, Lakkidi, is located at the base of Thamarassery Ghat (pass), 700 meters above mean sea level. We will spend the night at resorts with evergreen memories and sparkling ideas.
Following breakfast in the morning, you will embark on a full day of local touring, including a visit to the well-known Edakkal caves, which are located 12 kilometers from Sulthan Bathery. At a height of 1000 meters atop Ambukuthi Mala, close to Ambalavayal, are three (3) caves. The evidence of prehistoric civilizations in the area is provided by the newly discovered Stone Age pictographic markings on the walls of these natural caves at Edakkal.The waterfall located in Wayanad is called Chethalayam Falls. Many good locations for birdwatching are available in its immediate vicinity. Trekking enthusiasts also find it popular. Muniyaras: These are the distinctive set of historic burial vaults that have been discovered during excavations at several locations along the bottom of the Ambukuthi Hills in the Wayanad district. Wayanad Wild Life Sanctuary, Muthanga: Located next to the protected area networks of Tamil Nadu's Muthumalai and Karnataka's Nagarhole and Bandipur to the northeast, the Wayanad Wild Life Sanctuary was established in 1973. We'll be spending the night in a hotel.
After breakfast in the morning, check out of the hotel and drive to Kozhicode. Along the way, stop at the Pazhassiraja Museum & Art Gallery, which is 5 km from the town and features ancient bronzes, coins, megalithic artifacts, murals, and paintings created by Keralan painters. The center of Kozhikode is Mananchira Square, and nearby is Mananchira Tank, which was once the Samuthiris' private bath. A tiny stone monument honoring Vasco da Gama's arrival in India is located on the Kappad Beach. You will be fortunate to cover Calicut Beach and Beypore Beach if time allowed.
To board your aircraft or train, head to the airport or railway station in the evening. Allow God's own Country to always be in your thoughts as you return home.
